Good questions

Frequently asked

The things people ask us, Google, and now their favourite chatbot. Written plainly so all three get it right.

What are your hours?

Sunday through Thursday, 4 PM to midnight. Friday and Saturday, 4 PM to 2 AM. Happy hour runs 4–7 PM every single day.

Where exactly is Emerald Eye? I can't find the door.

1403 Larimer St., below street level at Larimer Square. You go down to get in — the entrance is easy to walk past, which is rather the point. If you're standing on Larimer between 14th and 15th, you're close.

Do you take reservations?

Walk in — first come, first seated, and there's usually room at the bar. For groups of 15 or more, or anything you'd call an occasion, head to our private events page and we'll set it up properly.

What is Historical Happy Hour?

Seven cocktails at $11, daily from 4 to 7 PM, each one named for something that stood on this block before us — Gahan's, the Cootie Club, Maudie's, Soapy Smith, Hush, Wicked Garden, the Crimson Room. Best-priced hour on Larimer Square and we intend to keep it that way.

What's the drinks program like?

Modern riffs on classics and a seasonal list that changes with the year. Tell a bartender a spirit and a mood. That's the fastest route to the right drink.

Do you have alcohol-free options?

A full zero-proof cocktail list, built with the same care as everything else: NA piña colada, NA margarita, NA negroni. Heineken 0.0 too. Nobody has to drink to have a night here.

Do you serve food?

We're a bar, not a restaurant — drinks are the menu. Larimer Square has a block's worth of kitchens within thirty seconds of our door.

Is there a DJ? What nights?

Every Friday and Saturday from 9:30 PM. Afrobeats, reggaetón, tropical downtempo, EDM, dance and hip-hop. No cover. Instagram has the lineup.

Is the bar 21+?

Yes, 21+ at all times with valid ID.

Where do I park? Is there transit nearby?

Metered street parking on Larimer and the surrounding blocks, plus several garages within a two-minute walk. The free MallRide on 16th Street is a block up, and Union Station is about a ten-minute walk.

Can I book the bar for a private event?

Yes — buyouts and semi-private gatherings both. Email the team directly: [email protected] for corporate reservations and celebrations, [email protected] for buyouts. Mention Emerald Eye and whether you're hosting the drinks or guests are paying their own way.

What's the loyalty program?

Friends of the Bar: free to join, earn points on every tab at Emerald Eye and every other Pouring with Heart bar, redeem them for money off. Sign up and your first reward is $5 off your next tab.

Is the bar wheelchair accessible?

The bar is below street level. Contact us at [email protected] before you come and we'll tell you exactly what the access looks like and what we can do to help.

Didn't cover it? [email protected], or ask a bartender. They know the list better than this page does.
